Raising skills for work: Introduction to Safe Handling of Medicines

Employer engagement is a key government priority for colleges and training providers. Tribal has developed the Raising Skills series to meet this agenda providing standardised, high-quality learning and support materials for full-cost delivery. The courses are comprehensive, yet concise, and focus on key issues for employers. They are designed to support a range of delivery models, including face-to-face, distance or blended learning.

This course is designed to provide an introduction to different medication and how it is dealt with safely within different care settings. It is not intended to cover all the knowledge required or assess competence to administer medication but does meet much of the Skills for Care knowledge set for medication and the requirements regarding medication in the common induction standards. In addition, the course is suitable for staff working in residential and domicilliary care services.
