Course outline

This programme is aimed at people working or wishing to work in a health and social care context. It is also appropriate for care workers working towards the National Care Standards at Induction and Foundation levels.

Course content

The learning and assessment materials cover the following topics:

  • Medicine supply, storage and disposal
  • The safe administration of medicines
  • Quality control and record keeping
  • Accountability, responsibility and confidentiality
