This course is ideal for a wide range of learners who wish to raise their understanding of drugs and how they are misused.
Drugs, both legal and illegal, are part of our culture. The use and misuse of these substances is a complex issue. While the number of people with a serious problem is small, their use affects everybody, including their families, friends, communities and society. This programme will help to raise learners’ awareness of the key issues relating to substance use and misuse, as well as the types of drugs available, the effects they have on individuals and society and how people and organisations respond to their use.
The course comprises one mandatory unit:
Tribal’s materials comprise an activity workbook, which has been produced to suit a wide range of delivery methods. Learners will be provided with the necessary workbook to complete the programme and will be required to work through a series of tasks and activities designed to reinforce the learning process and test their knowledge. The assessment is issued by the awarding body, and will enable learners to demonstrate achievement of all learning outcomes associated with the qualification.
A comprehensive tutor guide is supplied to accompany these materials. To view a sample of a tutor guide, click here.
By undertaking this programme, candidates will be able to further their own continuous professional development, which may improve their career prospects, or progress on to further qualifications such as courses concerned with drugs, health and social care or general well-being.
