The Government proposals outlined in the major consultation paper 'Raising Expectations: enabling the system to deliver' will take effect by April 2010. The proposals involve the abolition of the Learning and Skills Council by transferring remit for 16-19 year olds to local authorities (supported by the Young People's Learning Agency) and shifting the remit for learners aged 19+ to the newly formed Skills Funding Agency.
In response to these significant changes, NCFE is hosting The Machinery of Government Changes Conference, featuring an array of keynote speakers from within the further education sector. This one-day event will take place at the Hotel Russell in London, on Thursday 11 February 2010. See the NCFE website for more details.
A number of Tribal consultants will also be in attendance to advise how our extensive range of products and services can support you through this period of extensive change.
