Course outline

This qualification aims to develop learners knowledge, values, and skills in order to help them to play an active, effective, and responsible role in their society. Citizenship is relevant to all ages and communities, enabling learners to have a better understanding of their own identity, the skills to express opinions about issues that concern them, as well as tolerance and respect for the views of other people. The course also contains guidance about how to work with others to make a positive difference to the community.

Course delivery and assessment

Candidates will be provided with the course materials for the programme and will be required to work through a series of tasks and activities designed to reinforce the learning process and test their knowledge. The course is assessed through paper-based assessments and is suitable for school, college or workplace delivery.
