"In the Ambulance Service we find it difficult to release staff to attend training courses due to the nature of shift work. We have found that the Tribal distance learning courses work really well for our staff. They allow staff to work at their own pace, at a time and place to suit themselves. The support offered by the colleges has been very good and we are finding that staff seem to enjoy the way of learning. Once they have finished a course they ask to do another and another! … The packs can be used whilst on ‘stand by’ which helps to pass the time as well! Tribal offers a wide variety of topics which we have found very useful and interesting."

Fiona Goulding, Learning and Development Co-Ordinator, Burn Hall Training School

"Our achievement rate on qualifications is always over 95% each year and Tribal programmes have played a key role in the development of personal and social skills within vocational training to help make our offenders more employable. Tribal were able to provide learning resources which offered an attractive, colourful, flexible but standardised approach to delivery, enhancing the quality of the training and development made available to offenders. Our learners have a wide range of needs, abilities and interests and using distance learning materials means we can provide individualised learning solutions for each learner, with several learners working on different programmes within the same session. Learners like the easy-to-use materials, and get a real sense of achievement from completing an accredited course. It truly makes the learner feel valued by adding value and recognised external courses that link to true employment skills."
