Course outline

This programme aims to provide the knowledge and skills required to manage personal money and to anticipate future needs. It enables the learner to understand issues around financing a home and look at budgeting a wage. It is suitable for those who wish to improve their financial literacy and those who are living away from home for the first time.

Course content

The programme consists of three units:

  • Unit 1: Identify personal finances
  • Unit 2: Manage your own money
  • Unit 3: Planning your money for a significant expenditure

Course delivery and assessment

Candidates will be provided with the course materials for the programme. The learning materials contain the knowledge needed to meet the assessment requirements of the course and activities designed to reinforce the learning process and test the candidate's knowledge. The candidates work through the learning materials and complete assessments for each unit.
