This Level 1 Award examines the importance of money management. It aims to provide learners with the knowledge and skills required to manage personal money and to anticipate future needs. The course examines how to budget a wage and plan for a significant expenditure. It also looks at bank accounts, statements and items on payment slips and considers the different types of savings products and how and when they can be used.
The NCFE Level 1 Award in Personal Money Management comprises one mandatory unit.
Candidates will be provided with the course materials for the programme and will be required to work through a series of tasks and activities designed to reinforce the learning process and demonstrate their knowledge. The qualification is internally assessed, with the candidate producing a portfolio of work that demonstrates achievement of all learning outcomes.
This course will provide motivation towards further study and increased options for employment. Learners who successfully achieve this qualification may also wish to progress on to further qualifications, such as other personal development courses.
