Course outline

This course examines what we can do as individuals and as organisations to support a more sustainable future. Candidates will look at the background to sustainable development and at how the principles of sustainable development can be introduced and used to make an organisation more successful. The practical nature of the assessment makes it suitable for school, college and workplace delivery.

Course content

The course consists of two units:

  • Unit 1: Explore and understand principles and benefits of sustainable development
  • Unit 2: Plan, implement and evaluate sustainable development practice

Course delivery and assessment

Candidates will be provided with the course materials for the programme and will be required to work through a series of tasks and activities designed to reinforce the learning process and test their knowledge. This course is assessed through practical tasks and the practical nature of the assessment makes it suitable for school, college and workplace delivery.
