This course is designed for those who wish to develop their knowledge of the issues and anti-discrimination laws that relate to equality and diversity.
The course consists of three units:
Candidates will be provided with learning materials which they work through at their own pace and at times and locations convenient to them. The learning materials contain the knowledge needed to meet the assessment requirements of the course and activities to allow learners to practise their skills and test their learning.
Candidates work through the learning materials and complete assessments for each unit. Learning activities and assessments are based on a combination of knowledge and skills learned on the programme and work-based activities and experience. Each candidate will have access to a tutor who will support them throughout their programme.
The qualification aims to provide a sound preparation for further study and access to a range of programmes, including NVQs. The specific progression route will depend on the vocational choice of the individual but could include other programmes around diversity or more general study options.
