Report shows 80,000 people are receiving ‘poor’ or ‘adequate’ care services.

In its first detailed survey of the quality of adult social care in England, the Care Quality Commission(CQC) warns there are around 400 regulated adult social care services rated as ‘poor’ and around 3,500 only rated ‘adequate’.

Call for more training in care homes

The findings of a recent study have strengthened the case for more staff training in care homes. The study revealed that as many as seven out of ten people living in a care home have suffered from medication errors, such as being given the wrong drug or wrong dose.
